Introduction of Instafest App
Instafest was created in November 2022, thanks to USC student Anshay Saboo, who drew inspiration from the vibrant atmosphere of Coachella. The idea was simple yet brilliant: allow anyone to craft their own personalized music festival lineup. By tapping into Spotify’s official API, Instafest takes a look at your listening habits and whips up a custom three day festival poster that showcases your favorite artists.
You can choose to base your poster on your recent listening history or specific playlists, and if there are any artists you’d rather not feature, you can easily leave them out.
The platform boasts four distinct poster themes—”Malibu Sunrise,” “LA Twilight,” “Desert Nova,” and “Mojave Dusk” so you can pick a design that resonates with your musical taste. Once your poster is ready, sharing it on social media or downloading it is a breeze!

Understanding of Instafest Spotify
Instafest is not an official Spotify product; it is actually a third-party web app that uses two main tools to whip up its unique festival posters:

Spotify Web API
This feature lets Instafest securely connect to your Spotify account (with your permission, of course) and pull in data like your favorite artists, tracks, and playlists. It’s how the app digs into your listening history for some insightful analysis.
Data Visualization
After gathering your data, Instafest employs custom algorithms to pinpoint your most-listened-to artists and crafts them into a personalized three-day music festival lineup. The artists are arranged by popularity, giving you a layout that resembles a real festival poster.
In addition to generating the poster, Instafest offers several customization features:

How to Get Instafest Spotify?
To get started with Instafest, you shall need a valid Spotify account. If you don’t have one yet, no worries—you can sign up for free by downloading and installing Spotify Mod APK.

Instafest uses your listening data, so it’s a good idea to use the app for a bit before it can create a festival lineup that really reflects your taste and favorite artists. Keep in mind that if you don’t listen to music often, you might not be able to join the three-day festival that many people share. Instead, you could end up with a one-day or two-day lineup since you’ll have fewer artists to choose from.

How to Customize Instafest Spotify Lineup?
Listening History Duration
On the Instafest page, you have the chance to customize your festival lineup to match your musical tastes. In the “Include Top Artists” section, you’ll see three options for time ranges: “Last 4 Weeks,” “Last 6 Months,” and “All Time.” Pick one to create a lineup that reflects your listening habits during that timeframe.
Just a heads up, if you go for the shorter time ranges, you might end up with fewer festival posters, especially if you haven’t been listening to a lot of music lately. For a richer and more comprehensive lineup, it’s best to select “All Time.” When there’s enough data, Instafest will whip up a full three-day festival lineup for you.
The festival dates on your poster are automatically set to the day you create it. So, if you make your poster on June 25, your festival will be on June 25, 26, and 27.
Background Style
The four available styles for your Instafest lineup—“Malibu Sunrise,” “LA Twilight,” “Mojave Dusk,” and “Desert Nova”—each offer a unique visual vibe. Choose the one that best matches your mood or the aesthetic you want to share. These are already displayed above in slider.
Choose Festival Name

In the “Name Your Festival” section, you can enter a custom title for your lineup. By default, Instafest uses your Spotify username and adds “fest” to it, but you’re free to personalize it—or leave it blank if you prefer. You’ll also see two optional checkboxes: “Hide my username” and “Show base score.” Simply check either box to activate those settings.
If you choose to hide your username, your festival will display as “Instafest” instead of your customized name. Instafest also offers a base score, which reflects the popularity of the artists featured in your lineup. This score ranges from low to high, depending on how mainstream your music taste is.
Once you’re satisfied with the customization, click “Save and Share.” You’ll then have the option to “Save” the poster to your device or “Share” it directly to your favorite social media platforms.
